| Meet Your Therapist

My name is Kayla Argo, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia. I have nearly ten years in various settings working with people. I've worked in wilderness therapy residential settings, Division of Family & Child Services (DFCS), group private practice, and education. I graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Education. In 2021, I graduated from The University of Georgia with my master's degree in social work. 
I've lived in Athens since 2019 and am from a small town just north of Clarke County. I'm the first person in my family to graduate from high school, and I have an authentic, lived understanding of adversity. ​As someone who's personally experienced the benefit of therapy and self exploration, I've now landed here and hoping to get to work with you. 

Whether it's your first time in therapy or you're looking to build on the work you've already started, you do not have to do it alone.

| What to Expect

Change begins with being heard and understood. The goal of my space is a mixture of “kick off your shoes” and “get ready to roll up your sleeves.” Meaning, it is important that you feel met with empathy and free of judgment, while also understanding that growth involves effort and at times discomfort. I want to help you, help yourself. Often times through casual conversation, I incorporate a blend of therapeutic lenses to help you navigate the internal and external noise in your life. I'm not selling trendy self-care; this is about finding authentic, sustainable ways to support your overall well-being.
